This was impossible trying to check this off my kids wishlist, GameStop said mabey April they see some, dude in Best Buy said go on website every night at midnight and that’s your best chance. target says sold out in store online only, Walmart was scam sold out within seconds. I think the employees of these great corporations had a lot to do with them selling out and selling them on the secondary markets for double the LP.

I am not in the market for that stuff, but yes I did read where I think they made the availability low on purpose.

There was a good article about a software developer using bots to purchase available PS5's online and selling them on eBay for $1100. It's a war between corporations like Walmart and Best Buy who use detection programs to cancel bot orders and the developers who modify software and use tweaks like changing their address slightly to defeat them. This guy said he was earning about $30K a year buying hard to get items and selling them for profit. You could have done this all year buying disinfectants and other PPE items and selling them at a higher price. The average buyer can't defeat the bots. What happens is when you see availability by the time you get to checkout the item is gone. You can't type as fast a bot puts in the order. It used to be concert tickets now it's video games, sneakers or whatever.

So, I was lucky enough to get a PS5 through BB. After getting the right employee on the right day, dude explains website never shows stock, but my internal inventory check will show current stock, he finds two at a BB 30 min from, where I am currently at, I race there in 40 minutes, Manager says ohh we don't have these no way we're sold out, I said another store says you have 2 in stock can you visually check, boom gets one, says your lucky, they sell out quickly, or they are cancelled online orders.(daughter bday present) Well, I think employees hoard these giving public the slimmest chances to compete along with the bot boys online.

It's ridiculous that were approaching another holiday season and these 2 consoles are still hard to get.

I was lucky enough to win that 'lottery' to get a PS5 when ppl sent their playstation handles in.

That's went to my kid last Christmas.

But have wanted and Xbox series X for myself

I had no idea that these were so hard to get. I had a friend selling a few systems on facebook and couldnt figure out why people were buying from him as i figured they could get into stores.

I thought the PS4 was the latest system out (those sports games are pretty cool)

I remember over 20 years ago when the PS2 first came out that i would walk into target every morning before work to see if they were available. I remember getting lucky one day a week or 2 before Christmas
